But these versions are intended for people playing on low-end systems who most likely have the graphics settings turned way down, and at "Low" texture quality such artifacts shouldn't even be noticeable, anyway. The MQ versions are compressed, which unfortunately adds some blockiness and pixelization. but have a file size larger than that of most other skin modders like Tanz (but if you have even a "decent" system you shouldn't have an issue with them). High Quality: HQ skins are completely lossless, modified versions of WG's original textures. A small, unshaded hull number was painted on the bow in white, and in some (but not all) cases on the stern, as well the ship's name was NOT painted on the stern during the war. All vertical surfaces above this are 5-H Haze Gray, and all horizontal surfaces are 20-B Deck Blue. Measure 22 (Ms22) consisted of painting the hull 5-N Navy Blue up to the lowest point of sheer, then continuing horizontally straight across, fore and aft. 61 for Iowa, 445 for Fletcher, 51 for Atlanta, etc.), and changed the shade of blue from the almost aqua-ish hue WG used to a much more accurate navy blue. Soon after starting it I also added hull numbers to the ships (corresponding to each ship's in-game name e.g. ![]() My USN Skins: This project started out with the idea of taking the original, blue-hulled skins from CBT (which were more historically-accurate than the all-gray hulls that replaced them) and cleaning them up, stripping off most of the horribly overdone rust that the ships were caked in while still preserving all the great detail and "character" WG had given them. ![]()
